A two-day seminar led by Dr. Ronen Berger
Let's Play
Using Arts & Play to Help Children Develop Successful Ways of Dealing with Stress and Trauma
17.10. (17:00) - 19.10. (12:30), Terapeutický přístav, Bruselská
This two-day experiential seminar is designed for professionals working with children and youth — such as therapists, educators, social workers, and caregivers — who wish to deepen their understanding and practical skills in using arts and play as a means to help children develop and expand successful ways of dealing with stress and trauma.
Introducing concepts and methods from arts and play therapy used to ease stress and help children cope with trauma, this unique seminar will provide participants with easy-to-use and effective therapeutic methods that can be integrated into their individual and group work with children.
It will highlight the unique and important role that imagination, the body, play, and creation have in this process, as well as the unique position the therapist needs to take accordingly.
The process will integrate lectures, demonstrations, and experiential exercises, while providing space for questions and practice.
The knowledge presented in this seminar is based on the eight recent protocol books published by Dr. Berger and on his extensive international experience in this field.
Dr. Ronen Berger
Dr. Ronen Berger is an Israeli drama therapist, researcher, and founder of the Nature Therapy approach – a form of therapy that connects people, art, and nature. His method is based on the belief that contact with nature and creative means can help individuals and communities heal trauma, build resilience, and strengthen mutual understanding. He applies it, for example, in working with children with autism spectrum disorders or in school programs that foster safety and cooperation.
Berger has worked as a university lecturer at Tel Aviv University, Ono Academic College, and Tel-Hai College, where he established specialized drama therapy programs. He is the author of twelve books and numerous academic articles, and his work extends beyond Israel – he lectures and leads trainings in Europe as well. Thanks to his integration of art, therapy, and ecology, he has become a recognized international expert whose approach inspires therapists, educators, and community workers worldwide.
